We are pleased to have been awarded 4* by the ' Quality in Tourism' Assessors. Our aim is to provide high quality accommodation that is a relaxing home from home for your holiday enjoyment.

Despite being just 15 minutes from the centre of Peterborough, Crowland is in the fens, situated midway between Peterborough Spalding.

The flat fens have a beauty all of their own which is why many artists settle here.  It's the home of the tulip, huge horizons, great skyscapes and easy cycling.  It  has Cathedral cities, market towns small enough for people to know their neighbours and a community that works hard producing much of Britain's fruit and vegetables.

Fen-Acre is a non smoking, self catering, modern apartment which is part of, but separate from, our home.

The property sits on an acre plot of land adjacent to the A1073  providing easy access to Spalding and Peterborough with car parking directly outside the door. It's equipped to a high standard and all on one level with doors wide enough to accommodate a wheelchair if necessary.  Please contact us for details of access.   Sorry, no pets, guide dogs excepted.

Crowland is a small market town originally called Croyland, famous for its medieval Abbey and Trinity Bridge, both attracting visitors from all over the globe.  Fishing, cycling, walking or bird watching are on the doostep  yet we are just 15 minutes from the centre of the modern city of Peterborough with all its attractions including a magnificent Cathedral, large modern indoor shopping centre and Ferry Meadows, 500 acres of meadows, lakes and woods running for around six miles alongside the River Nene, offering cycling, walking, kite-flying, pony riding, nature-spotting and fishing.

Drive west for 30 minutes and you can be in the beautiful historic town of Stamford with its antique shops, Friday street market and the beautiful, historic Burghley House.  30 minutes east will take you to Wisbech or go north to Boston. The first is renowned for it's horticulture, the latter for its church (known as 'The Stump') and for its connections to the Pilgrim Fathers and the Mayflower's voyage.   Cambridge,  Lincoln and and the Queen's country residence of Sandringham are all within 45 mins drive .

If you prefer a more active break, 20 minutes away are Tallington lakes with their water sports, dry ski  slope and climbing wall and Gildenburgh Water diving centre.  Or, you could take gliding lessons at Crowland's own airfield.

If you have a particular interest and would like us to help you find the lesser known local places that  may be of interest to you, please let us know, we like a challenge!
