2 High quality self catering cottages in the heart of the fens.
Situated in Crowland, midway between Peterborough and Spalding. It's a town with a village feel. You know the sort of place, full of little treasures like the old fashioned teashop and friendly Italian restaurant and where, if you want a local souvenir you quite naturally go to the hardware shop! Yet, it's just 15 minutes drive to the A1 or Peterborough with its magnificent Cathedral, shopping, theatres and high speed trains to London, and Spalding with its horticultural history and award winning garden centres galore.
The landscape of the Fens is renowned for having huge skys, they say that's why artists love to come here and why so many have settled here. But it's more than that. It's growing country, especially bulbs. In spring there are fields full of daffodils, narcissi and tulips, hence the world famous Spalding Flower Festival that happens every year in April and the Flower Festival that takes place over the August Bank Holiday weekend each year in the Abbey.
These cottages are an ideal base for discovering the Eastern counties and an ideal place to come home to each evening, spacious and homely with all mod cons. Both are equipped to a very high standard.
There are no hidden costs, linen and towels a'plenty, a
kitchen well stocked with tea and coffee so all you need to bring are
your clothes, your smiles and good weather.
We love dogs, we have one ourselves, but our policy for Fen-Acre for other people's enjoyment, especially for those with allergies is no pets, assist dogs excepted. In addition, we operate a non smoking policy within the property, however smoking is permitted on the decking area.
